LOCAL DIRECTOR OF AYUTTHAYA

Building a Sustainable International Community in Ayutthaya

( นายกอุ๊ )วัชรพงศ์ ระดมสิทธิพัฒน์
THAI SPIRIT LIFE · AYUTTHAYA

Ayutthaya is much more than a historical destination. As one of Thailand’s most important ancient cities, it carries centuries of history, culture, traditions, food, craftsmanship and community life.

NAYOK U (Watcharapong Radomsitthiphat)นายกอุ๊ (วัชรพงศ์ ระดมสิทธิพัฒน์), Former Mayor of  Ban Mai Maharaj Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Maharaj District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and President of the Luang Pu Thuat Ong Yai Foundation, Ayutthaya, as well as President of OTOP Trader Thailand, is a community leader with extensive experience in  community development, and the promotion of local products and cultural heritage.

For นายกอุ๊, Ayutthaya is home — and his connection to the province goes far beyond tourism.

With a deep love for Ayutthaya and a strong desire to see his province develop in a meaningful and sustainable way, นายกอุ๊ is working to create new opportunities at the intersection of tourism, education and local community development.

A Local Vision for Ayutthaya

Tourism can bring people to a destination, but meaningful exchange can create something much more valuable.

นายกอุ๊  believes that international visitors and students should have opportunities to experience Ayutthaya beyond the well-known temples and historical sites. They can meet local people, understand Thai culture, participate in community life and build relationships that go beyond a short visit.

At the same time, local communities can benefit from welcoming international visitors, sharing their knowledge and creating new economic opportunities.

This is the kind of connection we want to develop together.

As a local director in Ayutthaya, นายกอุ๊ will help connect our platform with local communities, professionals, educational partners and healthcare-related organizations across the province.

“

Sustainable tourism is not built by tourists alone, but by the people in the community.

การท่องเที่ยวที่ยั่งยืน ไม่ได้สร้างจากนักท่องเที่ยวเพียงอย่างเดียว แต่สร้างจาก “คนในชุมชน”.

The Growing Interest of International Students for Internships in Thailand

International internships are becoming an increasingly important part of education for international students who want to gain experience outside their home country. For many students, an internship abroad is an opportunity to step outside their familiar environment and experience another professional and cultural system. When choosing an international internship, students often have to consider which country they want to choose as their destination. The country itself can become an important part of the educational experience.

A student coming to Thailand for an internship can potentially experience much more than their professional placement. They can discover Thai culture, food, communities, traditions and everyday life while developing their professional skills. Thai Spirit Life has increasingly received requests from international nursing students looking to complete part of their practical training in Thailand. As our programs continue to grow in Krabi, we are excited to develop new opportunities in Ayutthaya with นายกอุ๊, connecting students with local healthcare and community environments.

This is the type of international experience Thai Spirit Life wants to encourage: not simply going abroad to complete an internship, but learning through the country and the community in which the internship takes place. This is the model Thai Spirit Life wants to continue developing with นายกอุ๊— international education that creates meaningful connections between students and local communities, while opening new opportunities for Ayutthaya through responsible tourism, education and sustainable community development.

Supporting a Local Circular Economy

Our collaboration also reflects Thai Spirit Life’s wider approach to sustainable community development and circular economy.

When international students come to Ayutthaya, their participation can support local accommodation providers, restaurants, transportation, community activities, instructors and other local services.

The goal is to create a network where value circulates within the local community rather than remaining concentrated around large tourism businesses.

This can create opportunities for different members of the community to participate in international education and tourism while sharing what makes Ayutthaya unique.

For Thai Spirit Life, sustainability is not only about the environment. It is also about creating long-term relationships, local participation and economic opportunities that benefit communities.

A New Chapter for Thai Spirit Life in Ayutthaya

Our role is to connect international students and visitors with those local stories while creating opportunities for communities to participate.

With นายกอุ๊, local knowledge, passion and connections, we hope to build an Ayutthaya network where education, cultural exchange, tourism and community development can grow together.

For the young international students who choose to come here, we hope Ayutthaya will become more than a place where they complete an internship.

It will be a place where they learn, connect, contribute and discover another side of Thailand.
